VanHouten Nursery and Landscaping, Inc. is owned and operated by family members Ronald and Lillian VanHouten and their son Scott. The business is located southwest of Howell in a country setting. We have eight to ten seasonal employees. Our key employees receive seminar training to keep them informed of the latest industry practices and products.

Much of our expertise comes from many years of working on projects, such as urban renewal, state highway plantings, large commercial building landscapes, growing acres of sod, planting and maintaining a two hundred acre tree nursery, landscaping residential homes, growing container nursery stock, and more. Mr. VanHouten is very knowledeable in tree identification, growing habits, diseases, and the time of year that certain species should be moved.

As local residents we have been active in Livingston County by participating in farm preservation, as well as county and township government and civic projects. We are members of the Howell Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association, National Federation of Independent Business and Michigan Farm Bureau.

VanHouten Nursery and Landscaping, Inc. is licensed and insured. Ron, Scott, or one of the key personnel are "on the job" overseeing that all work meets our customers' expectations. We pride ourselves in the quality of our work and the ability to satisfy our customers. We are always happy to provide you with references.
