Children and Youth Ministries

Jake and Jennifer were both raised in the Flint area. Jake and Jennifer grew up in the same church and were friends most of their lives. They married in 1997, and their oldest son Hunter was born in 1999. After selling cars at Jakes father's car dealership, he decided that he wanted to be better equiped for telling other about the Lord. In 2002 Jake and Jennifer graduated from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. After graduating college he was the full time minister in Metz, Indiana. After a week at Youth camp Jake knew that Youth Ministry was what he should be doing. He applied to Howell Church of Christ a few weeks later. Jake and Jennifer love working with the children at Howell. Jake enjoys fishing, golfing, most all sports and spending time with his family. Jennifer loves baking, shopping and spending time with her family. Jake and Jennifer also have a son Hayden who was born in 2002.

The J.C. Club meets every Sunday morning during the worship service following the Lord's Supper. This is a program aimed at children between the ages of 3 to 8, with puppet shows, skits, and Bible stories at a level that a child can understand.

We have programs aimed at both preteens and teens. Our Preteen group is for youngsters in 5th through 8th grade. Our Teen group is for young people in grades 9-12.
